Conclusion

As we have seen from Transcend, they have designed an extremely sturdy and durable flash drive. Looking at all of the different types of tests as a whole, we can say that the Jetflash 810 has exceeded our expectations. The projected Read and Write speeds were above expectations with an amazing Read time while performing Random Access tests. Although the Jetflash averaged around 16MB/s Write time between all four tests, we can’t really complain when the expected max Write speed is only 18MB/s. Both of the Jetflash drives also had an amazing Random Access timing. The only complaint I have about either of the USB drives is with the locking mechanism on the 760. I had a difficult time holding it in place while attempting to plug in the device. Regardless, it was still fully functional.

With Transcend’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, you can also know that your product is taken care of if something unfortunate happens. While a good warranty is one thing to appreciate, price is also a factor. At the time of the review, on Newegg.com, the Jetflash 760 was found for $24.99 plus .99 shipping. The Jetflash 810 was also found on Newegg on sale for $24.99 plus .99 shipping with an original price of $29.99. Either way, I do feel that a $30 price range for either 32GB USB drives is a great investment. Taking all things into consideration, I gladly award the Transcend Jetflash 760 and Jetflash 810 with the PureOverclock Editor’s Choice Award.
