Features & Package

The Skalli features Heatpipe Direct Touch (HDT) technology, which has proven to be much more than marketing hype, as we’ve seen the technology to provide very efficient cooling performance. While the Skalli is a tower-style design like all top coolers, the HDT differs from "traditional" heatpipe heatsinks in that these heatpipes directly touch the CPU instead of a base plate. This allows more efficient dissipation of heat away from the processor and through the cooler since the heatpipes do not have to be attached to a heat plate which can act as a barrier. This certainly is an innovative idea and seems a natural evolution of heatpipe technology.

"The name of TITAN newly launched CPU cooler, TTC-NC05TZ/NPW (RB), is derived from the Norse mythology. The Skalli keeps on the strengths of his father, Skalli. Comparing with other general heat pipes sized at 6mm, Skalli possesses two 8 mm heat pipes with the heatpipe direct contact technology which increases better heat conductivity by 20%, and maximizes the overclocking performance up to 130W. The 10cm silent frameless fan designed with the suspension concept and built-in PWM intelligent fan controller minimize the operating rumble. The TITAN, Skalli supports the newest Intel LGA 1156 coming with five remarkable characteristics such as easy installation, best heat transferring, long life time feature, and attractive price, perfecting the cooling performance of the CPU."

The specifications for the Nirvana NV120 PWM are as follows:

  • Compatibility:
    Intel: Socket LGA1366, 1156, 775
    AMD: Socket 754, 939, 940, AM2, AM2+, AM3

  • Dimension: 128 X 95 X 150 mm (5.04 X 3.74 X 5.83 inch)
  • Heat Sink Material: Aluminum fin, copper heatpipes
  • Heat Pipes: 2 pcs @ 8mm diameter
  • Fan Dimension: 100 x 100 x 25 mm
  • Fan Speed: 900 – 1800 R.P.M. (PWM)
  • Fan Airflow: 24.84-46.58 CFM.
  • Bearing Type: Z Axis bearing
  • Fan Noise Level (dB-A): 15~<29 dBA
  • Connector: 4-pin

The Titan Skalli is packaged in a clear plastic casing with bold colours and text that contains enough information about the product and just about everything you could possibly want to know. The heatsink itself is plainly evident and the overall look to begin is rather flashy. The accessories are quite minimal, including simple clips for the various Intel and AMD sockets, and an easy-to-follow instruction manual.
