The custom PC market has exploded over the last few years. Along with the rapid growth has come some new and exciting chassis designs that allows for builders to add an assortment of high end cooling components. Thermaltake has taken notice of this shift in the custom market and recently offered the Urban series of cases that lends itself well to the gaming and custom liquid cooling segment. The Urban series trimmed down on flair, instead focusing on a sleeker and more versatile design. The Urban series received high marks on almost every review including the one we covered. Following up a successful product launch is where many companies falter, either offering too little changes for it to be a viable upgrade option or going so far in another direction that the appeal of the product is lost. The new Core X series of cases looks to build on what was started in the Urban series of chassis, versatility, simplistic outward design and affordability. In this review we will see if Thermaltake continues its positive trend or stumbles as many others have during follow up launches.
