Introduction

Since its inception in 1999, Taiwanese manufacturer Thermaltake has established itself as one of the big names in the industry when it comes to cooling solutions and enclosures. They have a range of highly popular computer cases that are continually being refined and improved.

Enter the Thermaltake Armor+ ESA edition. This case represents the newest entry in the acclaimed Armor-Series of full-tower cases. It is distinguished by the added ESA features (ESA stands for Enthusiast System Architecture).  Many PC enthusiasts (and especially those who like to overclock their hardware) use a variety of different tools to monitor as many aspects of their systems as possible. Programs like SpeedFan, Core Temp, GPU-Z and a host of others provide the user with information about and control of different system parameters. Simply put, ESA is Nvidia’s bid to improve the way we monitor and control our hardware. It allows you to interconnect ESA certified mainboards, cases, power supply units and even off-the-shelf liquid cooling systems and get all the relevant data as well as various options for tweaking the system’s thermal performance and noise level from one single software-platform called Nvidia System Tools.

While ESA may be very useful, it doesn’t make a good case by and of itself. So let’s dive in and see what else the Armor+ ESA has to offer and whether it lives up to the high standards that we have come to expect from Thermaltake.

We would like to thank our friends at Thermaltake for supplying us with the review sample.

?Since the beginning of Thermaltake in 1999, it has been at the forefront of creating new and exciting products at a time where most computer users were provided little to no choices for components that may seem irrelevant, but are in reality crucial to the performance of a PC. Thermaltake Server Series solutions, with years of thermal experience and industry leadership, sets its goal on reforming total thermal management in the server segment by formulating the perfect mixture of versatility, efficiency and thermal management with each respective server product category: Rackmount Chassis, Server Fixed & Redundant Power Supply and Server CPU Cooling Management Solutions.?
