Thermalright Venomous X-RT
There is an abundance of CPU coolers on the market, something for just about every need or want, to suit just about any budget. Big coolers, loud cooler, tall coolers, small coolers. It’s like something out of a Dr. Seuss book.
One interesting combination to find is cool and quiet. We’ve seen a few dominant heatsinks on the market but they typically come with high output, loud fans that help achieve those impressive thermal performance results. We’ve also seen some very quiet heatsinks, but they tend to offer mediocre thermal performance, and overclocking with those are certainly out of the question. But finding a heatsink that accomplish both great cooling in a low noise setup is rather rare.
The Thermalright Venomous X-RT is one such CPU cooler that claims to offer a successful combination of strong performance while maintaining low noise levels. We know that Thermalright has an excellent track record in producing successful heatsinks, so we’re hoping they’re up to the task since cool and quiet is not an easy thing to achieve, especially with an overclocked Core i7 monster that can produce some tremendous heat.
That’s exactly what we’re using today as we find out if Thermalright can produce another winner in the Venomous X-RT.
"Thermalright is an elite design house that manufactures cooling products for computer components for the best quality and performance your money can buy. In 2002, AMD released its first generation Thunderbird CPU and since then we have been there every step of the way to counter high voltage and high heat with innovative design and highly acclaimed cooling solutions not only for AMD but for Intel as well. One of early well known solutions was the SK-6. With many positive and rave reviews under its belt Thermalright bolted to the top as the heat sink manufacturer mostly preferred by Overclockers and enthusiasts around the World. To this day, innovation never left our vocabulary as we keep coming up with leading edge designs staying ahead of the competition"
