SilverStone Tundra TD02 AIO CPU Cooler Review
WHAT WE LIKED:Unique color and styling; Tight fin array; All in One solution; Excellent performance
WHAT WE DISLIKED:Tubing, Mounting Screws
The SilverStone Tundra TD02 is SilverStone’s first crack at the AIO cooling market and I feel they nailed it. We loved the aesthetic look, having the metallic silver contrasts well with the white tubing against the all black fins of the radiator. Even the two included 120mm fans with their all black shroud and white fan blades makes this a great looking cooler. The nickle plated waterblock is by far the best looking block out of all the closed loop units available today.
We showed how the TD02 did a better job than the Corsair H100i at cooling our 4670k whether it was running at stock clocks or overclocked. It may not have been by much but the fact still stands that it did perform better. The two included 120mm fans could be a problem for some, at high RPM’s they got loud but if you’re like me sound isn’t a factor when it comes to fans.
There was one thing I didn’t like: the tubing. It’s very stiff, hard to work with, and just plain ugly in my opinion, but this has no bearing on performance. It’s a choice you will have to make when purchasing your own cooler. The SilverStone Tundra has exceeded my expectations on how I thought it would perform throughout our testing . That’s why we feel the SilverStone Tundra TD02 deserves Pure Overclock’s Great Hardware award.
