Introduction

SilverStone is a name that is synonymous with top quality computer components, when we say "enthusiast" in reference to the computer market, there are truly only a few names that pop into my mind that fit the bill. SilverStone is among one of the most sought after manufacturers of chassis, power supplies and accessories. Founded only in 2003 SilverStone has become one of the top manufacturers in the premium market segment, catering to enthusiasts, gamers, and HTPC/audiophile needs as well.

One of SilverStone’s newer chassis is the Raven 3 which is derived from the original Raven case. The Raven 3 is smaller in stature compared to the original but still packs an aesthetically pleasing punch. The simple lines of the Raven 3 convey a very unique look generally not matched from more common names we see attached to a chassis.

The Raven 3 has been engineered for innovative heat dissipation, the fact that heat rises SilverStone has turned the motherboard 90°, and stacked all of the gear vertically rather than horizontally like what we typically see in other cases. This is accomplished by blowing the cooler air in from the bottom with the custom 180mm fans and forcing it out the top of the chassis via a 120mm exhaust fan.

Let’s take a closer look at the SilverStone Raven RV03.

"SilverStone Technology’s philosophy is based on our recognition that merely having innovative expertise within the industry is not enough. Our objective is to ensure that our expertise is delivered to all products with consistency, in response to user’s needs, and with maximum user satisfaction. SilverStone Technology thrives on challenges of rapid technological advancements and creating aesthetic stand for the industry."
