SilverStone has been making great leaps and bounds in the cooling technology department as we have seen in our reviews of their Temjin Series TJ10, and the new Fortress Series FT01.  In both of our previous reviews of their products, they have introduced either new improvements over previous designs, or innovative new ways of keeping the dust from our systems.  The Raven Series RV01 is no exception to this, with its positive air flow and stack effect design.

Taking the concept of the RV01’s namesake to heart, SilverStone has designed an enclosure that is both aesthetically pleasing, and slightly “raven-esque” in appearance.  From it’s the wing-like design of the side intake vents, to the  beak-like appearance of the front I/O panel cover, they have certainly created an enclosure that makes you think of a raven.  The RV01 comes only in black, which seems fitting considering its namesake.  Honestly, who’s ever heard of a silver or brushed aluminum colored raven?  Not I.

With all of the features and solid design implementations presented, you can expect that this full tower case commands a premium price tag as well.  With the exception of the Kublai Series KL-03, the Raven RV01 is the cheapest of SilverStone’s full tower offerings at around $250 USD.  Mind you, this still isn’t the cheapest case around, but for the $200 to $300 price segment, this case should definitely be at the top of your “next case to buy” list.
