We all know computers can do a lot of things, including—with the right hardware and a USB cable—make coffee.  The problem arises however, that we occasionally need to take some or all of it with us.  There are laptops of course, but let’s face it:  They’re not as powerful as our desktops and by the time they are, our desktops will be even more powerful.  Sometimes we need just a little more portability.  Today we can fit entire operating systems on a thumb drive or flash media, and hard drives have gotten huge in the last few years while physically not getting any bigger.  Maybe we don’t want to waste 3 hours making playlists so we can have just the right tunes at that party later tonight; maybe we just want to bring all the tunes with us.

This review shows that we can do just that; though they are not normally sold together, SilverStone’s MS03 hard drive enclosure and their SST-FP35B media reader/power point make for an interesting combination when it comes to this sort of “right-here-right-now” portability.

We wish to thank our friends at Silverstone for supplying the review samples.
