Scythe Mine 2
Introduction
Scythe has been active in the air cooling segment as of late. The buzz around Computex 2011 has been the mammoth air coolers by various manufacturers. Scythe’s previous release, the Susanoo, was nothing short of mammoth as well. However, we’ve got another big air cooler again today, the Scythe Mine 2, which features twin tower design with a fan positioned in the center with the popular PWM function (Pulse Width Modulation).
An interesting side note is the preview of upcoming LGA 2011socket at Computex 2011 features quad channel memory that is positioned very differently on the motherboards, and may impact some of these behemoth coolers. So the compatibility remains to be seen, but in the meantime let’s jump in and see how the Scythe Mine 2 performs on current tech.
