Sapphire Radeon 7870 FleX
Specifications and Package
At a quick glance, below is what the Sapphire 7870 FleX looks like in terms of details:
As you can see, there’s not much difference here, though the 1GHz clock speed should give a bit of a boost out of the box. Most significant, perhaps, is the 2GB of GDDR5 which will likely hamper things a bit for Eyefinity gaming. Unlike the 7900 series cards that come with 3GB of memory, we suspect this will prove challenging at the extreme resolutions.
Starting with the package and accessories, the 7870 FleX comes in a black and red box with some minimal graphics and a large render of a gamer babe; this one is dressed in camouflage and sports impossibly-proportioned……assets.
Moving along, we see the information identifies this as the FleX version of the 7870, and also the Dual-X which signifies the cooler being used as well.
The rear of the box continues more detailed information about the main features.
Inside the box, Sapphire has included a robust accessory package, including DVI-to-VGA and DVI-to-HDMI converters, HDMI extender, Molex-to-PCIe power cable converters, CrossFire bridge, and Quick Installation Guide.
Let’s take a closer look now at the card.
