Lately we’ve looked at quite a few graphics cards in the premium enthusiast segment, including several models in AMD’s Radeon 6900 lineup. These cards have proven to be quite impressive for the most part, offering some substantial gaming power at reasonable prices. However, what one considers reasonable might be extravagant and expensive to another. Not everyone is a hardcore gamer and enthusiast, and there is a considerable number of consumers out there that need something far more affordable that can still satisfy a gaming fix. While flagship cards may command much of the hype, it’s the budget cards that quietly bring in the profits.

We’ve seen several graphics cards from Sapphire of late, and have come away suitably impressed with their ability to provide impressive cooling solutions, improving upon the reference designs for very little of a price premium. The Sapphire Radeon 6570 and 6670 are the latest in their lineup, and sit prominently in the sub-$100 segment for consumers on a tight budget that still want to have some gaming fun.

Let’s take a closer look at the Sapphire Radeon 6570 512MB and 6670 1GB and see how they stack up.
