Introduction

In the past, low power and performance was an oxymoron but not anymore. AMD’s Fusion technology has arrived and it could be the future of graphics. Intel’s Atom has low power but not much performance. Dual core and the Ion helped higher resolutions but was in our opinion, not the best for HTPC.

Today we’re looking at the Sapphire Mini E350 motherboard embedded with the AMD E350 APU. The E350 is AMD’s latest release CPU renamed an Accelerated Proccessing Unit(APU). Fusion has been talked about for some time and it has now become a reality. AMD’s purchase of ATI has taken two companies into one and and the focus of graphics are headed to on-die GPU’s.

Pioneers in a new era of how data is displayed and games are played, Sapphire shepherds the performance oriented with ground-breaking solutions to an environment that remains in a constant state of flux and ultimate evolution. For over ten years Sapphire has held true to its unwavering commitment, the commitment to deliver the most feature rich and soundly engineered products.
