Specifications and Package

At a quick glance, below is what the Sapphire 7950 FleX looks like in terms of details:

As you can see, there’s not much different from any other 7950 model on the market, though the 3GB of GDDR5 will help with the horsepower at the extreme Eyefinity resolutions. Typically we saw 2GB in the previous generation cards. But the FleX tech isn’t capture by specs, so let’s take a look at the package and card itself and then onto the test results.

Starting with the package and accessories, the 7950 FleX comes in a black and red box with some minimal graphics and a large render of a gamer babe; this one is dressed in camouflage and sports impossibly-proportioned……assets.
Moving along, we see the information identifies this as the FleX version of the 7950, and also the Dual-X which signifies the cooler being used as well.

The rear of the box continues more detailed information about the main features.

Inside the box, Sapphire has included a robust accessory package, including DVI-to-VGA, mini DP-to-DisplayPort, and DVI-to-HDMI converters, Molex-to-PCIe power cable converters, CrossFire bridge, and Quick Installation Guide.

Let’s take a closer look now at the card.
