Sapphire 6870 1GB DiRT 3 Edition
3DMark 11 is the latest version of the world’s most popular graphics benchmark. Designed to measure your PC’s gaming performance, 3DMark 11 makes extensive use of all the new features in DirectX 11 including tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading.
In 3DMark 11, we see the Sapphire 1GB card sits right behind the 2GB card at the medium resolution, and falling back slightly at the higher resolution. This isn’t unexpected, as more memory tends to help at higher resolutions, particularly when antialiasing and other image quality settings are increased.
These are synthetic tests though, so we don’t necessarily place too much stock in them. Gaming tests are where the real results matter, so let’s move onto to those next.
