As we’ve said before and we’ll continue to hammer any chance we can get, the single biggest bottleneck in modern systems is the traditional plattered hard drive, and using an SSD in your system will make such a massive difference that you’ll want to cry if faced with having to use a traditional hard drive afterwards. Make no mistake, the speed boost is that pronounced and alluring. In fact we are of the opinion that no piece of hardware is more critical to the overall performance of your system than an SSD period.

The SandForce controller is indeed a force to be reckoned with, especially in RAID 0, producing some jaw dropping performance results. SanDisk’s new configuration gives us record breaking performance and most of all VALUE. To get drive performance and capacity like this for only $340 each is ground breaking. SanDisk has just raised the bar by a significant margin. Again, this is the fastest SATA III drive we have tested to date.

The combination of SanDisk’s new 24 nm toggle NAND and new firmware have produced a drive that sets a new standard of performance for top tier drives, and it’s evident this also carries through to RAID 0.

The Pure Point: Arguably the fastest two-drive array available now.

    Hi there.

Your access times in AIDA64 seem incredibly low. I’m getting 0.23 ms roughly….
