With the proliferation of mobile devices and increasing importance of data storage, it’s probably a safe bet that most of us are familiar with SD flash card. Most notable for their use in point-and-shoot cameras, the humble SD card is also a valuable storage tool for people on the go. Indeed, 64GB will go a long way for photos and video storage, particularly if you have any notions of bringing young children on long car rides and want to keep them busy watching movies.
SanDisk is a flash memory giant, needing no introduction. The latest in the SanDisk lineup are the Ultra PLUS and Extreme cards, targeting different consumers who have varying speed needs. And with very attractive price tags, these little SD cards promise solid value.
Today we’re looking at the SanDisk Extreme 64GB and Ultra PLUS 64GB SD cards. In a hint of what’s to come during testing, the speed results were a very pleasant surprise, despite what the labels might seem to indicate in terms of speed expectations.
