Conclusion

The Neon K85 RGB has possibly the most robust lighting of any sub $100 mechanical keyboard. Hardware or Software controlled lighting, simple software interface, sturdy build, and a clever wrist rest at $69.99 is worth more than its price. Fighting against it are several mechanical keyboards pricing around $50 with the same switches and some moderate lighting abilities. Should you buy this Mechanical keyboard over other cheaper keyboards? I would say it comes down to how important lighting features are to you. I believe the lighting is worth the extra few bucks over another brand with the same switches. This keyboard is a good middle ground option for style that’s affordable.

Seeing as Rosewill is running the gamut of price range features in the keyboard market, this keyboard holds its own. I’d say for lighting alone, I’ll go ahead and give Rosewill’s Neon K85 RGB Pure Overclock’s Editor’s Choice Award.

I’m not saying it is the best keyboard in existence, or even a must have, but it is top of its class in its field: Affordable mechanical keyboard with impressive RGB lighting.

    Nice review!

I was looking for a new keyboard since my black widow is getting pretty old.

I’ve never heard about Rosewill before. I might give it a try.

I’m a big fan of keyboards which have customizable macros, as I am a hardcore MMO player and I need to re-bind a lot of keys.

    Once again nice review!
