Roccat Tusko
Overview
Hardware: PeripheralsWHAT WE LIKED:
Enough utility to be able to carry all necessary peripherals for LAN gaming, well constructed with good quality materials, comes in different sizesWHAT WE DISLIKED:
Warranty information a bit foggy, would like to see other color choices for customization's sake, pouches could have been water/dirt resistant as wellConclusion
If you have ever had to carry around your gaming gear to another person’s house or to a LAN event, you know how incredibly cumbersome everything can become. Your thoughts constantly gravitate to the semi-delicate nature of some of your gear, and you start to worry way too much about whether or not everything will make it there in one piece. Roccat offers a solution here that is more than up to the task of alleviating those concerns.
Not only is it incredibly well built and exceptionally functional, but it is also quite comfortable and stylish to boot. It would have been nice to see some different color options available, but black and blue is sort of Roccat’s thing; if it isn’t broken don’t fix it, and Roccat always seems to pull off this color combination really well. Information on the warranty for this product was also a bit hazy. After some digging we found that it carries a one year limited warranty, (most likely limited to manufacturer specific defects in workmanship). We don’t suspect that there would be too many of those, as this is truly a top-shelf quality item worth every penny of its asking price.
We really tried to find genuine fault with this product but there really isn’t any to be had. Paired with an mITX system, you could literally use just one hand to carry everything you need to game. With that, we present the Roccat Tusko with the Editor’s Choice award for setting a fairly high benchmark in the realm of mobile gaming accessories.
Thanks to Roccat for sending us the Tusko for review, and feel free to discuss this product in the forums.
