Introduction

Some things just go well together. Peas and carrots, Ferrari and beautiful women, and a keyboard and mouse. Of those examples, there’s one that tops the rest, but suffice it to say that at least in the computer realm, the keyboard and mouse are likely the most critical combinations possible for just about everyone using a desktop.

The trick, then, is to not only find both a mouse and keyboard that work well for you, but ideally a pair that work well together. That can be a daunting task, with literally hundreds of these products on the market. And certainly for the gaming enthusiast crowd, who tend to be a particular and vocal bunch, the mouse and keyboard have to bring something interesting and compelling to the mix.

This is where Roccat may be able to offer something innovative to discerning gamers that want that bit of extra punch for their peripherals. Specifically we’re looking at the Kone[+} mouse and ISKU keyboard, two devices that seem very capable on their own. However, when used together, the Roccat Talk feature, and EasyShift[+] innovation allows you to get more bang for your buck, as even more customizations and options become available that aren’t there when used on their own. The sum is greater than its parts, apparently.

Roccat may not be quite as well known in North America as some established industry heavyweights, but they’ve made quite a splash in Europe, and seem to be looking to expand on this side of the pond, complete with a healthy pedigree to back up their gaming lineup.

Hey, we love innovation and cool features just as much as anyone, but good looks will only get you so far. Reputations are made in the hands of consumers, so let’s take a closer look at the Roccat Kone[+] and ISKU see if they can manage to impress.
