The Raidmax RX-1200AE is very well packaged, coming in a large black and blue hard plastic box, signifying the company’s corporate colours. On the front is an image of the unit, SLI certification and 80PLUS Bronze rating, while the rear offers more detailed information about the features and specifications.

Opening the lid, we’re presented with what reminds me of a fishing tackle box, with various sized inserts for all the individual items. It’s a nice touch.

The accessories include a manual, power cord, cables, thumbscrews, silicone gasket to reduce vibration noise, and Velcro cable ties. It’s a good bundle for a unit in this power range, and it is well presented. The modular cables come packaged separately in the box, with a wide assortment available to suit just about any hardware setup.

Let’s take a closer look at the exterior now.
