Primochill Wet Bench
OverviewHardware: Cases & PSU
WHAT WE LIKED:Simple design, tons of water cooling support, unique drive mounting systems, HUGE color selection available.
WHAT WE DISLIKED:PCI card holders very tight, peeling backing paper from all the acrylic tabs is both messy and time consuming, no PSU mounting option.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
Primochill accomplished their goal of making a good-looking, easy to assemble and easy to use test bench that anyone will love. Assembly was fast and simple, and the configuration options are virtually unlimited.
The ease of system installation was compounded by all of the available holes and slots for cable routing and sheer range of available drive mounting options.
The unique expansion card mounting system that Primochill came up with works well, although it requires some force to install and remove cards, especially dual-slot variants.
The lack of a power supply mount can go either way for me honestly. On one hand, it’s easy to move the PSU to hookup and disconnect cables. On the other hand, if you intend on using the Wet Bench’s built-in carrying handles then you’ll need to have a third hand available to carry the power supply or you’ll need to disconnect it before moving the bench.
Overall I really love the quality of the Primochill Wet Bench. It’s simple to assemble and set up and the sheer number of available mounting options for everything is amazing. Add to that the huge number of color options available and you can get a Wet Bench to suit your style. The Wet Bench has a set retail price of $139.99 over at Performance-PCs.com. Stay tuned to the PureOC forums where I’ll be making a build log for my wet bench. I’ve got some goodies coming from my good friends at Performance PCs to set this bench apart from the rest! I am happy to give the Primochill Wet Bench our great hardware award.
