Testing:

With the Phanteks PH-TC90LS installed, we are now ready for some testing. Please note these tests were performed with an ambient temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and tests were run for 10 minutes with no load and then again for 10 minutes at 100% load. The small Form Factor/HTPC case, components, and software for our test are listed below.

  •  Case: Bitfenix Prodigy (White)
  •  Motherboard: ASRock B75M-ITX
  •  Processor: Intel i5 2500k
  •  Ram: Corsair 8GB Vengeance
  •  SSD: 120GB OCZ SSD
  •  HD: 1TB Seagate HD
  •  GPU: XFX HD6870 (Black Edition) Double fan
  •  PSU: OCZ 700watt Mod Stealth PSU
  •  Prime95
  •  CPU-Z
  •  Core Temp

Performance:

Let’s take a look below and see how our PH-TC90LS Cooler from Phanteks performs.

It’s a hot day today and my ambient temps are at 82 degrees Fahrenheit or 28 degrees Celsius. Idle Stock settings were showing our average low temp at 35 Celsius and 42.5 Celsius max and considering this test is done in a closed case environment and not an open test bench the results obtained are great.

Here we have our loaded states at stock settings of 3.3 where we ran Prime95 for 10 minutes at 100% load showing a low of 35 degrees Celsius and an average high of 71 degrees Celsius at stock settings. These are very impressive scores for a cooler this size and well within the threshold of the 2500K.
