Introduction

In the last few years, the PC chassis world has grown dramatically. With the large number of case makers jumping into the market, finding the right chassis has proven to be a tough job for some. However, while your options are pretty limitless with so many makers, sometimes it’s just about what options and quality they come with.

So with that in mind, today we are going to be looking at a new chassis by reputable maker Phanteks. Phanteks has been known to produce some of today’s top performing air coolers while using some of the most unique and high quality designs. Phanteks joined the chassis market when it first announce the Phanteks Enthoo Primo. Since that case, they have quickly built a solid reputation on quality and attractive designs. Today we are going to bring you another Phanteks case with its own unique twist.

Before we dive into the nitty gritty of the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv, let’s talk a little about Phanteks.

The reviewer completely omits a couple of major points about the design. There is no mention of the1/8″ thick ALUMINUM construction of all exterior panels; a unique feature found on no other case (even the expensive Lian Li cases use a gauge of aluminum more reminiscent of beer cans). These panels are more like the thickness of an aluminum frying pan, rigid and solid.
Also, it is not made clear how quickly all the panels can be removed, without tools (about 10 seconds to lay bare the steel frame), another unique feature.
The reviewer mentions more than once the “solid steel feel” of the case, I quote “While this case looks to be light weight, its solid steel construction does add quite a bit of weight” – the reviewer seems unaware of the construction of the panels, a unique and expensive use of thick aluminum that is the best feature of the case, and which justifies the asking price.
