None that I can find

BOTTOM LINE:
To sum things up, The Patriot Gauntlet Node is well-made and performs as advertised. When you think about what it offers the user, which is Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 throughput, along with the ability to upgrade to faster and larger HDD’s and SSD’s, easy to use software, customer support, and Patriots warranty for the price of only $99.99 US on Newegg.com, it makes it really a no brainier.

Introduction:

The Information Super Highway or Infobahn was a popular term used through the Eighty’s and Nineties to refer to digital communication systems and the Internet telecommunications network. The Oxford English Dictionary defines the term as “a route or network for the high-speed transfer of information; esp. (a) a proposed national fiber-optic network in the United States; (b) the Internet.” The OED also cites usage of this term in three periodicals.

I have to say I am totally blown away as to just how far we have come since then. With everyone going mobile, we now have Cell Phones, Tablets, Notebooks, Laptops, and other portable devices to download, store and stream video and data wirelessly across the information highway at breakneck speeds. Today I have the pleasure of reviewing such a device; The Gauntlet Node from Patriot Memory. We have high demands being placed on us at school, in the workplace, and at home, to store and transfer data and information. With hard drive space on our laptops and computers becoming a premium, I believe Patriot, with the Gauntlet Node, may have come up with a perfect solution. With the Gauntlet Node, you can do it fast and inexpensively, but more importantly wirelessly as well.

The Patriot Gauntlet Node can be fitted with an SSD or a HDD up to 2TB and is also a great way to reuse those SATA drives that may have been exchanged during a notebook or laptop upgrade. The Gauntlet Node has the ability to connect up to 8 devices simultaneously. It can also launch with App support for Android, iOS, and Kindle Fire, giving you an accessible wireless storage solution for streaming content like videos, music, and pictures. The Gauntlet Node is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery capable of streaming up to 5.5 hours continuously, thus providing you with the ultimate solution for on-the-go productivity or entertainment. The Gauntlet Node from Patriot carries a 2-year warranty along with Patriot’s award winning customer service.

Established in 1985, Patriot Memory builds a full range of memory module and flash memory products, offering a perfect blend of quality and value. Patriot products include Extreme Performance and Signature Lines, and Flash Memory solutions.

Our thanks go out to Patriot for providing us with our review sample.
