It looks like NZXT is committing to their white/purple theme for packaging and I really like it.
Inside, all of the components are very adequately protected which means we can can give this packaging section a solid two thumbs up.
Time to move on to the installation process and there’s only so much I can say about it. Really, you should check out the video because this isn’t as easy as your typical CPU cooler install. If I had to sum it up, the installation is a pretty big pain. The large size of the pump/block combo can be difficult to work around with the thumb screws, none of the brackets set in slots which means keeping them lined up with holes until you get the screw threaded, and if you think you can easily install the rad in the top of the case, you might have another thing coming when the hose length stops you short. This is a pretty big problem because the largest benefit of CLC cooling is simplicity. Unfortunately, the install process left me wondering if it wouldn’t be better to commit to the idea of a custom loop, even if custom is a bit more challenging.
Also, I want to give a quick mention to EpicGear for sponsoring The Hardware Hound channel and helping me continue to bring video content to the site. Check out our reviews of the Defiant and Morpha X if you want to learn more about their products, but now let’s move on to the rest of the review.
Needless to say I love computer hardware. With my reviews, I never forget what it's like trying to find parts on a tight budget and how excited I am about any new component I get my hands on. If there was a good effort in the design, then I'll find a reason why each component is great for someone!
