NZXT Aperture M
When it comes to computers, the transfer speed of data is always of paramount importance whether it be hard drives, DVD drives, or even the transfer of data from a hand held device. This includes your phone, camera, video recorder, or for that matter any device that houses a memory/flash card. The obstacle here is that most devices require installing new drivers and software and offer you nothing but slow and cumbersome file transfer speeds.
What can we do to overcome this lag, and speed up the process? The answer is really quite simple. Install a card reader, (also called a media hub). A card reader has the potential to move data at lightning speeds off the flash card, compared to hooking that device via USB to your computer. It’s also an easy and cost effective olution to improve the speed and transfer of data from any portable device you own that houses a flash card.
Today we’re reviewing just such a device, the Aperture-M from NZXT.
NZXT gives you every conceivable slot for all your flash card needs. It supports CF, MD, SM, XD, SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC, MS, M2, and yes Micro SD, as well. It does all of this and even includes USB 3.0 with pin header for the icing on the cake. Seeing USB 3.0 on a card reader is an excellent thing, as the transfer speeds are extremely quick. Let’s take a look at the NZXT Aperture M and see what it brings to consumers.
