Features & Package
The Nexus FLC-3000 cooler combines some of the most advanced technologies in the market used for CPU coolers. Heat pipes at an 30° angle, SkiveTek and 3 types of ultra-thin fins combined with a real silent PWM controlled fan delivers ultimate performance which has never been this quiet before.
FLC coolers are crafted out of the purest aluminum and copper materials. The heat sink covering the heat pipes and the copper base is made using SkiveTek technology. We have managed to apply the best technologies at the best position on the cooler. And the result is astonishing.
The 92mm fan is PWM controlled and the speed can vary between 900 and 2500 RPM creating a noise-output of an inaudible 15 dB(A) up till a still truly quiet 24 dB(A).

The packaging of the cooler is a standard cardboard box, cubical in shape, and the the colours of the box are black, orange/yellow, and white, reflecting Nexus’ corporate theme. It looks quite sharp, rather refined and tasteful, not garish or effusive. There is adequate information on the box to let you know the basics about the product. You can see the cooler packed in a clear plastic casing from the outside. Upon opening the box, the accessories include a manual, rubber pads, mounting hardware, and thermal paste. It’s a complete package here, with everything you need to get up and running.
Normally the optional Socket 1366 backplate is sold separately, but Nexus was kind enough to send one along for testing, so we’ll gladly oblige and get some test results on that setup for you today as well.
Let’s take a closer look at the cooler itself.
