Introduction:

Today I have the pleasure of reviewing the Nanoxia Deep Silence 6 Big-Tower case, designed by a company well known in Europe for their Legendary Green Nanoxia Nano-bearing fans and peripherals as well as high quality chassis. Nanoxia has now entered the enthusiast arena with a brand new arrival, called the Deep Silence 6. It is the big brother to their well-known Deep Silence 1 Mid-Tower Chassis. This is truly a big tower chassis as it is a huge HPTX case from the next generation of Silent PC cases. It is taller, deeper, and wider than any of their current cases, while still keeping with their simple but classic design. This huge tower offers the user enormous space with new and innovative technologies, such as the “Active Air Chimney” to improve the ventilation of the case.

Along with these latest innovations, Nanoxia has always focused on minimizing noise and system temperatures. The side panels and top cover are fitted with specially designed, noise reducing insulation materials to minimize and absorb any noises. The solid 1mm left and right doors like the predecessor’s. They use sound absorbing materials that contribute significantly to the most effective noise reduction achieved by the Deep Silence series to date. Also responsible for the quietness of the case are the pre-installed 140mm Nanoxia fans of the brand new DS-Series. This most recent Nanoxia fan-series features a new impeller design, optimized for the best possible mix of silence and high CFM cooling capacity.

The Deep Silence 6 case is also fitted with a 2-channel fan controller designed to run up to 8 fans. The Nanoxia Deep Silence 6 is equipped with two unique Air Chimney’s that are fitted with noise absorbing materials and can be left closed during normal operations. When opened, they automatically turn on the two pre-installed 140mm fans in the roof, that provides passive enhanced case ventilation as well as a variety of water cooling features. The roof of the Nanoxia Deep Silence 6 has special lateral attachment points, which allow maximum compatibility when using very thick radiators. These are suitable for 120/140/240/280 and 360 mm radiators. These changes reflect the developers’ objective to offer the user broad possibilities to personalize the adjustment for a perfect balance between the lowest possible noise, and excellent cooling performance throughout. The Deep Silence 6 is available in a windowed version and in three colors: Black, Anthracite, and White.

Read on to see what else the Nanoxia Deep Silence 6 has to offer and what we thought of it…

Our Thanks goes out to Nanoxia for providing us with the review sample.

The idea for Nanoxia was developed in 2006 when a German engineering team sat down to develop fans that would meet the highest standards. The new fans have been presented to the press for the first time during Cebit in March 2007. In addition to their distinctive design, the revolutionary fans were notable for their high quality. Over the years, several fan-series as well as other components – such as cooling water additives and thermal compounds – were offered. The main products, however, remain high quality fans, vibration dampers and the to this day unsurpassed PWMX fan controller. A dedicated and experienced team has begun to build on the success of the legendary fan-series with new, innovative products. At first, the FX Evo fan-series was released in early 2012 and shortly thereafter a whole new line of premium sleeved cables came out. As a new mile stone was reached after years of development, when during Computex 2012 the brand new Nanoxia Deep Silence case series was introduced to the world.

You overlooked an annoying design fault in the bottom dust filter, the need to remove it to the rear. This, for many users, would necessitate the removal of most if not all cabling in order to have sufficient clearance for removal. Users would be better served by a design permitting removal to the front of the case. That said, it is a beautiful unit.

I am glad you read and enjoyed the review. It is a really great case. They will soon be easier to get thanks to Eagletech signing a deal with Nanoxia as the main Distro for US markets. I do not think the Vinny overlooked what you are describing as a “annoying design”. You are underestimating how large this case is. The dust filter would have to be very large and long to reach the back of the back from the front of the case. The would lead to it being flimsy and would be easily damaged by most end users. Having to be removed from the back has its obstacles but having two or more separate filters on the bottom that are removed from the side of the case would be a better option. thanks again for reading on PureOC. join the forum anytime

      Hi Ron,
You are absolutely correct for some it will be quite annoying if they are running short cables and not able to slide it out far enough to remove the filter for cleaning
I myself am able to slide mine out far enough to remove the back filter, still a pain though out the front only or better yet the side would have been better.
