Visually the Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 is smooth yet sharp, and very attractive to the eye with its matte black finish and smooth semi-gloss front bezel. I really like the front bezels’ two magnetically locking doors. They are made very solid and even though the glossy finish against the matte black doesn’t match, it actually makes for s a nice contrast. The left and right side panel doors are very thick and, with the addition of the sound proofing, they are very heavy as well. I would have liked to see a hinged design, instead of the standard slide and lock that they provide. This way, taking them on and off would be a lot easier, since they do require some effort to remove. The painted finish on the left and right side panels was kind of mottled or spotty, depending on how the light reflected off of it. I also thought they could have done a better job matching the paint to the front and top of the chassis in that regard.
The positioning of the hidden I/O panel at the top, along with the retractable air chimney, and built in fan controller behind the front door is genius. I am typically not a big fan of doors on the front of my cases, but in this case, it’s warranted for several reasons. One, is the silence it provides, and the other, is a clean looking chassis that expresses the Deep Silence 1 theme of cool and quiet. The extras like removable washable filters throughout the case, tool-less 5.25 ODD bays, eight expansion bay slots, and the modular HDD cages, are great options that add a lot of value to this case. The abundance of features that have been implemented into the Deep Silence 1 is pretty remarkable.
The preinstalled 140mm and120 mm fans along with all the water cooling solutions that Nanoxia has incorporated into the Deep Silence 1 are awesome. The cable management that the case provides is great. I simply love the easy access to the front fans and removal of the filters for easy cleaning. Let me sum things up by saying, that German Engineering has its benefits, and overall the build quality of the Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 at a price point of only $120.00 US makes this purchase hard to beat. The Nanoxia Deep silence 1 from what I have been told, will be available for purchase here in the US sometime in February. So if you are in the market for a mid-tower chassis that’s very well built, and offers you both cool and quiet, then I highly recommend the Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 for your next build.
