Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors and P67 chipset have been the talk of the tech community lately, and not enirely for the right reasons. By now, just about everyone knows about Intel’s billion dollar "SATAgate" boondoggle. However, Intel moved extremely quickly to correct the chipset flaw, and motherboard manufacturers have been working tirelessly to take care of their customers who already purchased a P67 product. Thankfully the new B3 Revision boards are now shipping, so likely the focus will shift away from the costly bump in the road back to the performance race track.
So after a rather lengthy layout from P67 motherboard reviews we’re finally getting the green light from manufacturers and it’s now full steam ahead with the reviews again! The latest P67 board to hit our bench is the MSI P67A-GD65, a premium board that promises innovative features at a great price of $180.
There are some very interesting features here, not the least of which is the groundbreaking UEFI BIOS, the likes of which have never been seen before on a PC until P67 came along. Add in some auto overclocking goodness with OC Genie and a stealthy colour scheme, and MSI is serving notice they’re ready to play hardball with the competition.
Let’s dive in and see what MSI is bringing to the table with this P67 motherboard
