As we’ve seen with the launch of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 460, it is shaping up to be an impressive product for consumers that want a great gaming graphics card in the $200 range. All major Nvidia partners have products in the mix, but a few are offering non-reference designs that bring something extra to the table.

One such company is MSI and they have released the GTX 460 Cyclone. It sports a custom heatsink to offer lower temperatures and noise levels, along with some excellent overclocking potential through their MSI Afterburner software. The card we’re looking at today also comes with a factory overclock for those who might be hesitant to overclock their GPU, and it is also the 1GB variety as well. Nvidia also launched a 768MBB card, but the 1GB version does cost a bit more money with better performance, while also giving gamers the chance to capitalize on some Nvidia-specific features that the competition on the ATI camp doesn’t offer.

So without further ado, let’s dive right in and take a close look at the MSI GTX 460 Cyclone 1GB.

MSI, a technology-oriented company blessed with one of the world’s Cyclone R&D teams, is well known for high-quality and innovative technology. As a leading company in the new digital era, MSI offers a complete product portfolio to compete in the new millennium. Started with computer components such as motherboards, graphic cards, and optical storage devices, MSI now has now over 16 product lines, including deskCyclone barebone systems, servers, notebooks, handhelds, network devices, broadband communications, LCD monitors, TVs, wireless applications, and CPT (chassis, power supply and thermal) products.
