PACKAGE
The box of the Kingston V300 240GB SSD is white and red, reflecting Kingston’s corporate colour scheme. All the critical information is contained on the front, such as the speed increase over a traditional hard drive, and the fact that cloning software is included in the package. Also shown are the Read and Write speeds (450MB/s and 450MB/s, respectively), and the drive’s capacity (240GB in this instance).

The rear contains a bit more information. What’s particularly helpful here is the SSD upgrade kit, with instructions on how to clone your hard drive to the SSD. In fact, there’s a video that shows the steps, easy to understand for a novice who may be a bit unsure how to transfer their important data.

Contained within the box is the drive itself of course, but also a 3.5″-to-2.5″ bay converter, installation guide, SATA cable, and power cable converter. The inclusion of a premium disk migration utility and adapter bracket with this drive is one of the best we’ve seen to date in terms of added value.
