Summary

The In Win GreenMe 750W is a power supply that delivers solid features and performance and does it in a rather sleek, if somewhat plain, aesthetic. The white finish is a refreshing change from a sea of black units, and should provide a nice contrast in a windowed case for someone looking at using something a little different.

From a performance standpoint, it has respectable voltage regulation and noise suppression, within spec, though nothing to brag about. In terms of functionality, this unit unfortunately isn’t modular, but few power supplies are in this wattage range, so you’ll need to spend a wee bit of time on cable management to keep your case impressively clean to match the clean look of the GreenMe. And lastly, with an 80 PLUS Bronze rating, this unit is respectably efficient.

There are a couple issues to note. The GreenMe isn’t silent at full load. It is very quiet at low loads, but when the unit is pushed it is audible, though it shouldn’t be a problem inside a normal case setup. The cable lengths are also on the short side, so a full tower case will pose a problem for good cable management practices. Lastly, the 80PLUS Bronze certification isn’t terribly impressive, so philosophically this unit isn’t as environmentally-friendly as it could be, say, if it were 80Plus Platinum. Of course, you’d be in an entirely different price range and product design as a result.

With a retail price of $99, the GreenMe 750W is very well matched against other units in this power range that don’t look nearly as unique, or sometimes don’t perform nearly as well. Considering this power supply is backed by a strong environmentally-conscious ethos, those who are concerned about such issues might do well to take a good look at the GreenMe. It’s a great value power supply that brings the goods.
