Summary

Overall, I had a very positive experience with the i-gotU GT-600. I found its data to be exceptionally accurate. One of the main highlights of i-gotU GT-600 is the motion detector, which serves as a hibernation utility to conserve battery power and with everyone coming out with some sort of “green” tech this should fit right in.

The i-gotU GT-600 comes with a built-in 750mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery, which cannot be changed. Once depleted, recharging the battery to a full powered state takes approximately 2 hours via the included USB cable for the unit, once charged it should last around 80hrs.

Another feature that I thought was great was the geo-tagger for your photo’s. What a great way to share your trip and show exactly where you were and what it looked like when you were there. The included software suite overall is a great package, it has everything that you should want or need in a device of this type.

For those of us who don’t own a Standalone GPS unit, but have a Netbook or notebook that we carry around with us or take on vacations this is a fully featured unit to use in conjunction with it, for far cheaper than I have seen the Standalone GPS’s go for with similar features.
