Package and Contents

Taking a look at the package, it wasn’t so different from the Cloud I headset we looked at last year. They have maintained the same great artwork and attention to detail on its package. At the front we have some highlighted features that will give users great at a glance information.

At the rear of the package, we find the same great detail with the artwork, and they elaborate on the product’s features and specifications.

Once we got inside, with the main box out of its package, we found a red interior box with the HyperX Logo on the front. This looks to serve as a great storage box if you are not using your headset. We saw the same packing with its previous unit so this was no surprise to us.

Like before, once inside we find under the cover was a personal message from HyperX General Manager “G8V1K1ng Willumsen.”

The HyperX Cloud II headset is secured tightly into the foam inserts. All accessories are packed neatly and each is placed in its own pocket. The detail that HyperX went into here is far superior to some of the headsets I have seen in this price range.

Inside, we also find all the essentials to get you started, like the instruction manual which is great as this can guide you through the multiple platforms this headset can be used on. You are not limited to just a PC, the HyperX Cloud II headset is also compatible with most of today’s Game Consoles as well.

The accessories that are included with the HyperX Cloud II headset were about the same; however, the main change here is the USB Adapter vs. a 3.5mm headphone adapter that was previously included.

So here you will find: Accessories pouch, Velour Ear Cups, airline adapter and the mic.

Overall, the HyperX Cloud II headset was very similar if not the same as the previous version in terms of accessories and packing. The main difference we find is the newly developed USB Adapter which will provide some additional benefits to the use of the headset. But we’ll go over that a bit later in more depth.

Let’s move onto the Specifications and Features of the HyperX Cloud II Headset.

Awesome review Kenny, I think the added sound card looks and potentially would be great. I have a pair of Plantronics Gamecom 780, have you used those and if so how would you compare?

One thing I love about the 780’s is that they fully cover your ears, nothing pushing my ears down, do these go on your ears or on your head?

Good review! Great looks like the leather style stiching on head band and the price is not bad at all! Got that HyperX Brand of quality!

However, if you possess the cash there to make the purchase entirely, then, paodxraically, that is the best time just to be able to use the credit card for several motives.
