AMD’s flagship 6970 reference graphics cards have been quite good for the most part, but as we know, reference designs will only push things so far. HIS is a company that’s taking what appears to already be an impressive product and pushing things further, with a custom heatsinks for lower temperatures and a strong factory overclock for enthusiasts who want to extract the most our of their graphics card.

One of HIS’s popular designs is the IceQ heatsink, and today we’re looking at the 6970 IceQ Turbo version. It’s quite a massive graphics card, complete with a funky clear shroud and beefy heatpipes to lower temperatures and noise levels. it’s a big card, to be sure, but just how much does that factory overclock help in the gaming realm?
