Package and Accessories

The HIS 7970 IceQ X2 GHz Edition package is not much different from what we typically see done by HIS; it comes in a fabulously designed blue and white theme that sports a refreshing monochromatic look.
Information of note is displayed on the front, such as the 3GB of GDDR5, the Boost clock of the card (essentially a factory overclock), the IceQ X2 cooler, and a few other items normally indicative of the Radeon 7900 series.

The rear of the box continues more detailed information about the main features, including claims this card is cooler and quieter, and we’ll check that during testing, as we’ve seen HIS usually has excellent cooling designs. Also of note are the use of solid state capacitors and chokes to improve longevity and durability of the card.

Inside the box, HIS has included a satisfactory accessory package, including driver and utility disks, output converters, CrossFire bridge, and Installation Guide.

Let’s take a closer look now at the card.
