Introduction

G.Skill is known for producing a wide range of memory products to suit just about any performance need or budget. So it really should come as no surprise their newest series, named Sniper, takes aim at both of these criteria simultaneously. Today we’re looking at an 8GB kit running at 1600MHz that’s geared toward the Sandy Bridge platform specifically, although the unique aesthetics might appeal to a much wider user base, particularly the gamers in the crowd.

These new modules sport an aggressive aesthetic and sleek black heatspreaders. They look like a gun really, and come with tight CAS 7 timings that should provide solid performance at a good price of $149.

Let’s take a closer look at the G.Skill Sniper 8GB DDR3-1600MHz modules.
