Overview

Hardware:

Manufacturer:

Price at time of Review: $66

WHAT WE LIKED:

Sleek design; Tons of buttons; Very well priced; Strong software GUI; Variable textured surfacing

WHAT WE DISLIKED:

Best suited for smaller hands; Very thin thumb buttons; Some gamers may not like the offset sensor location

BOTTOM LINE:
Great MMO/RTS mouse that doesn't break the bank, but best suited to those with smaller hands.

Specs and Package

Here are the essential tech specs:

  • Professional 12-button MMO/RTS gaming mouse
  • Over-clocking SGCii: 200 dpi to 8200 dpi
  • Scorpion gaming user interface
  • Up to 72 keys for user defined macros
  • 16 million RGB backlight system in 3 areas
  • Adjustable metal weights 4.5g x 6 with storage case included
  • 32K onboard memory to prevent game block
  • 1.8 meter braided cable with gold-plated USB connector
  • Rubber finish grip for complete control and handling

As you can see above, the specs aren’t terribly unique or groundbreaking. That said, there are some very interesting features here on the Gila that deserve more attention.

The rear has more detail about the features.

The front opens to a clear plastic window, while the rear of the box has more detailed information about the features, UI interface, and that it’s geared more specifically to the MMORPG/RTS gamer.

Inside the box is a manual, installation guide, some extra foot pads, and the driver disk. However, we do recommend you visit the GX Gaming website for the latest driver version.

Also separately included are the 4.5g weights for the supporting foam caddy inside the mouse itlself (more on that shortly).

Let’s take a closer look at the mouse itself.
