Introduction

Dual channel memory kits seem to be all the rage these days. Just about every manufacturer across the board keeps coming out with new, faster, flashier modules. And while we do think this is a good thing, it also means that much of the love for triple channel memory seems to have been lost lately.

Triple channel memory kits are the big dogs on the block, running exclusively on the Intel LGA1366 racetrack. They come with performance teeth but also hefty price tags for the most part. But if you want the best, they’re the choice.

Today we’ll be looking at such a set of memory modules, the GeIL EVO TWO 6GB DDR3-1800 modules, which sport some gorgeous heatspreaders. But what about performance?  So, is beauty only skin deep, or in the case of these memory modules, metal deep? Or is there something more under the hood that will drive the performance to match the outward appearance?

In our world, performance is what counts, so let’s find out if these GeIL EVO TWO sticks have what it takes.

Established in 1993, GeIL has become one of the most professional memory module manufactures in the industry. Since then GeIL has been concentrating in memory module design and manufacturing. As of today, our manufacturing facilities employ over 200 people and produce a wide variety of modules with distribution in over 50 countries worldwide. GeIL?s Global Headquarter resides in the heart of computer technology ? Taipei with branches spreading over in Hong Kong, China and U.S.A.
