Introduction

We love performance as much as the next person, but we also think aesthetics can be important. After all, why do some people prefer flashy cases rather than stodgy, plain ones? Why put in time and effort trying to paint the interior of a case? Why spend extra money on making sure those new memory modules match your sexy motherboard’s colour scheme? Because as much as many of us may brag about the high performance of our systems, the fact is that we also care about how things can look.

It is exactly that reason that should provide interest for today’s review. We’re looking at a set of GeIL EVO TWO 4GB DDR3-1600 CL7 memory modules that may just be one of the best looking we’ve ever laid eyes on. Beefy, sleek, modern – the EVO TWOs look gorgeous. And yes, they would complement a sexy motherboard if you’re looking for a particular colour scheme. But as we know, great looks often come with a higher price tag. And that is also true of these GeIL sticks as well. But at the same time, we cannot ignore the tempting specifications. So, is beauty only skin deep, or in the case of these memory modules, metal deep? Or is there something more under the hood that will drive the performance to match the outward appearance?

Let’s take a closer look at these GeIL EVO TWO modules and find out.

Established in 1993, GeIL has become one of the most professional memory module manufactures in the industry. Since then GeIL has been concentrating in memory module design and manufacturing. As of today, our manufacturing facilities employ over 200 people and produce a wide variety of modules with distribution in over 50 countries worldwide. GeIL?s Global Headquarter resides in the heart of computer technology ? Taipei with branches spreading over in Hong Kong, China and U.S.A.
