Summary

The Func MS-2 offers a sensitive 4000 DPI LED optical engine, which is plenty for most gamers. Some may bemoan the inclusion of the ADNS 3090 sensor, which isn’t exactly new, but we figure those few who would scoff are not necessarily the target market of this mouse anyways. There’s also the onboard memory to store your profiles to take on the road if you need, while still maintaining plug-and-play functionality without driver installation. Factor in a straightforward software interface that’s refreshingly easy to use while robust enough to customize many settings, and Func has an excellent and intuitive interface.

The ergonomics on the MS-2 are extremely comfortable for both larger and smaller hands, whille targeting a wider audience than the MS-3, as this mouse is more versatile for both claw- and palm-style users. Factor in the beautiful satin finish, and the MS-2 is not only sleek but highly FUNCtional (yes, I went there). Buttons are easy to click while highly responsive, achieving a great balance between relaxed comfort and aggressive performance.

There are a few downsides here. The bottom thumb button near the base is a bit too stiff, and the back/front thumb buttons could be just slightly larger. The braided cord is a bit stiff, and the DPI control is only available in 800 increments. That said, the MS-2 is solid.

With Func products now penetrating into the market more fully, it’s a bit surprising the MS-2 isn’t too widely available, however we did find in stock on Amazon for $60. This puts the MS-2 in a rather crowded and popular segment for gamers, but it’s not top tier, and should compete well due to its excellent ergonomics and feature set.

It appears Func is looking to build upon its success of the MS-3 Rev.2 flagship gaming mouse with the more mainstream, budget-oriented MS-2 , which offers very comfortable ergonomics and similar features such as DPI adjustment, Instant Aim button, customizable lighting and macros for various profiles. We give the Func MS-2 gaming mouse our recommendation.

I like simple elegant design of this mouse. And the price is good. Stiff cable is a disadvantage for sure; they should learn from Steelseries.
