Enermax Staray
Exterior
The front bezel of the Enermax Staray is comprised of mainly a steel mesh with the exception of the outer rim which is ABS plastic. Starting at the top of the chassis there are four 5.25" optical disc drive bays then we have the I/O Panel which consists of 2 x USB, Mic, Head phone jacks and a light control switch for the front intake fan hidden at the bottom of the chassis. The power and reset switches are located at either side of the outer rim of the bezel in line with the I/O panel.
The right hand side panel is just a flat panel with the exception of a slightly raised plastic bezel housing a metal mesh hiding two more intake fans. The left hand side panel is just a flat panel with a small indentation for a handle.
The rear of the case is pretty typical of any chassis; the PSU is located at the top moving down the case next we will find the I/O panel for the motherboard and the 120mm exhaust fan then the seven expansion slots and two predrilled holes with rubber grommets for an external water cooling loop.
The top of the case has no ventilation or fans just a flat black panel. The bottom of the case is unpainted and has four plastic feet; it would have been nice to see rubber feet to help with any vibrations that occur with any computer.
Let’s move on to the interior.
