Introduction

Have you ever made a move to pass someone out on the highway only to realize your poor car didn’t have much left under the hood and that sad reality was quickly replaced by the dread of seeing oncoming traffic? I had the pleasure of driving a Dodge Viper for awhile and let me tell you, there was nothing like the confidence of pulling out alongside someone and dropping the hammer. That car was a beast and it had so much grunt under the hood there seemed to be no end in sight; you pushed and it just went.

Perhaps less likely to impress the ladies than a powerful car, today we’re looking at a beast of a different kind: the Enermax Revolution 85+ 1050W power supply. It also appears to have plenty of juice under the hood. It even looks like a brute, with a surprisingly edgy aesthetic that is complemented by some impressive features and performance claims. Let’s take a look at the beast and see if it can meet our expectations.

Thanks go to our friends at Enermax for supplying the review sample.
