Introduction

Have you ever made a move to pass someone out on the highway only to realize your Honda Motorcycle didn’t have much left under the hood and that sad reality was quickly replaced by the dread of seeing oncoming traffic? I have the pleasure of riding a Harley Davidson and let me tell you, there was nothing like the confidence of pulling out alongside someone and rolling on the throttle.  This ride is a beast and it has so much power from its V-Twin and ride comfort that there seems to be no end in sight; you push and it just goes.

Perhaps less likely to impress the ladies than a powerful bike, today we’re looking at a beast of a different kind: the Enermax Revolution 85+ 1020W power supply. It also appears to have plenty of juice under the hood. It even looks like a brute, with a surprisingly edgy aesthetic that is complemented by some impressive features and performance claims. Let’s take a look at the beast and see if it can meet our expectations.

"Enermax was founded in 1990 by a group of young professional, enthusiastic, and high-tech oriented people in Taiwan. The main products we carry are switching power supplies, PC cases, industrial PC cases, pedestal and tower server cases, CPU coolers, second fans, mobile racks and other peripherals. Enermax has its own design groups and production line. Enermax’s Design engineers work around the clock to come up with the best solution and product to meet the demand of the market."
