Package & Accessories

The design of the EK-Supreme HF block is based on the same concept as its predecessor.  However, the new revision has a 50% flow increase for better cooling performance.  It’s compatible with multiple sockets, for both Intel (775, 1156, and 1366) and AMD (939, 940, 754, AM2, AM2+, and AM3).  The EK-Supreme HF caters to do-it-yourself water cooling enthusiasts, and is one of a handful of blocks on the market that look to satisfy that cooling craving.

Normally, I don’t go into any great length to discuss the packaging but today is an exception.  Since EKWB has worked to redesign their corporate image, it’s worth a look.  EKWB fans will remember the tired “Fire & Ice” black label slapped on plain white cardboard box. That’s a thing of the past.  The new look is gun metal black and orange with a new geometric motif. The box itself is pumpkin orange color with EK logo and the product icon highlighted in black.  EKWB now uses a colour code to indentify the product inside the box; Orange for water blocks, Baby Blue for reservoirs, florescent Green for radiators, Red for pumps, and Yellow for accessories.

Inside of the box is completely solid black.?The box received a fancy jacket with a charcoal grey honeycomb shape as the background and EK logo in orange and the inner jacket is solid orange. The well-designed box has two swing-out lids and foam that help to hold all the contents in place when it?s closed.

Enclosed in the box:

  • EK-Supreme HF water block

  • 4 different jet plates + 1 blank
  • Universal supported mounting plates:
  • Intel: 775, 1366, 1156, Xeon
  • AMD: AM2, AM2+, AM3, 939, 754, Opteron
  • Universal CPU retention backplate
  • Thermal grease Arctic Cooling MX-2 (2g)

.

Port threads are G1/4” and well spaced to accommodate various fittings.  A universal mounting mechanism backplate, rubber padding and standoffs are also incluced.

EKWB pays a lot of attention to the details from the packaging to the block itself.  The block wrapped in a clear plastic bag and an “Original Packing” label used to seal the bag.  If the seal is broken or no seal is affixed to your block then you know the product is not genuinely packed by EKWB.

Let’s get this baby unwrapped, shall we?
