ECS H67H2-M: Summary

The Black Series for ECS have traditionally been very impressive value-oriented boards, offering consumers some great bang for their buck. But we’ve also seen the start of a new trend when we took a good look at the P55H-AK; ECS is looking to push further into the premium market segment. We’re not sure about performance or pricing of these boards just yet, so we can’t really comment on whether we think these will offer great value to consumers. We can only go by the features we’ve seen and our extensive past history with ECS products.

When we look at what we’ve seen from ECS, along with what we’re seeing here on these two 6-series boards, we’re very encouraged. The styling, features, and quality are all great. We do know that the ECS overclocking utilities will be included, and we’re also encouraged by that. We do really hope they’ve made some progress on improving the BIOS, however, as that’s been the weak point for ECS so far. Fingers crossed.

We’re very much looking forward to the new Sandy Bridge lineup, but for now these ECS boards offer just a small taste of what’s to come.
