Overview

Hardware:

Manufacturer:

Price at time of Review: $97.43 at provantage.com

WHAT WE LIKED:

Great features, durable build quality, multiple monitor output, could be used as a KVM

WHAT WE DISLIKED:

Doesn't elevate laptop, no SPDIF digital audio output

BOTTOM LINE:
The DS3900 Ultra dock is more then just a docking station with a wide variety of connections and can be used on any system with a cheaper price tag then laptop specific docking stations.

Were you able to connect two monitors to this single docking station?

I have looked around online and this is the best and most detailed review of this product I have found, however the line “It is capable of handling your network adapter, video, audio, input devices through its built-in USB 2.0/3.0 ports and it is fully capable of transmitting video dual monitor through the DVI and HDMI ports.” leads me to think that you have 2 monitors hooked to this docking station, which would be awesome, but highly unlikely.

So… “is fully capable of transmitting video dual monitor through the DVI and HDMI ports”..

As in ONE monitor through HDMI port and a SECOND monitor through the DVI/VGA port?

I like the docking station, I just bought it this week, but the HDMI port does not work AT ALL for mine, even without the DVI or the VGA in use, so I am curious if this is due to a bad port on my device, or if it’s because the laptop has no support for HDMI devices… maybe I am missing a driver…? Or… ??? Perhaps you could fill in the blanks, because I’m sure there are others who are wondering the same thing. 🙂
