We’ve seen air cooling enjoy the affection of the mainstream user for quite some time due to its ease of use and affordable pricing.  Well, CoolIT really puts a stick in the spokes of that bike with the Domino.  With a price tag of $79, this unit gives all but the absolute most expensive air coolers a thrashing from what we’ve seen. Even some lower-to-mid range water cooling kits can’t really even stand against a price-to-performance ratio like we saw here today.

With this product you can make your case considerably quieter and cooler, with the whole setup running just off a 3-pin connector. No extra units, no extra power required, no fuss, no muss. We’ve seen from our performance tests that the Domino really gives water cooling novices an excellent choice to jump into the market with little hassle and worry.   The LCD display is a great feature, but we think it would be icing on the cake if it were offered in an optional drive bay format, even if cost just a bit more.  Considering the already-inexpensive price tag, we feel this add-on could be easily justified to consumers.  Perhaps a future product revision or option from CoolIT?

As a self-contained liquid cooling setup for your beloved processor, the CoolIT Domino A.L.C. offers outstanding performance at a superb price, and is one of the best mainstream cooling solutions we’ve seen in quite some time.  If you’re looking to make the jump to water cooling without the hassle of a custom kit, the CoolIT Domino is your best move.
